Greg Hyde started Just Specs in 1989 with 2 stores, building up to 42 stores by 2007. Just Specs changed the face of the optical store environment with open store plans, new spectacles made on site and most important of all, promoted a relaxing shopping experience.

He also started the best and original “Buy One Get One Free” offer along with a continuous range of specials. These where promoted with aggressive advertising on TV and radio famously using AFL players.

Just Specs was able to cater for all markets, from low price to high end and always with the largest range of frames.
